The United Federation of Planets (UFP) and commonly referred to in the Alpha and Beta Quadrants as the Federation is an intersteller federal rebpulic, made up of planetary governments that agree to exist semi-autonomously under a single central government. The UFP was founded on the principles of universal liberty, rights, equality and to share their knowledge and resources in a peaceful cooperation and space exploration.
